A retired architect, Stephen has designed homes, hospitals, shopping centers, office complexes, libraries — he was a key designer on Jimmy Carter’s Presidential Library — and Marriott resorts throughout the world. For the past 10 years, Stephen has experimented with all media as an artist. His interest in local politics dates to 1978 when he served as mayor of the city of Berkeley Lake in Georgia. A Windermere resident for 22 years, Stephen served on the Windermere Town Council from 2004-2005 and has been a member of the Windermere Development Review Board since 2005. These days, you can find him sitting in the back of town hall during council meetings, cartooning on current topics of discussion. When Mayor Gary Bruhn retired, he presented him with a bound copy of 100 drawings from council meetings.
