Residents in Ocoee, Windermere and Winter Garden are headed to the polls next week to vote for their respective candidates. Turnout is typically low in such elections, which are split off from the national election in November. We randomly canvassed several residents across the three municipalities and found mixed reactions about their awareness of the March 9 election and whether they plan on voting.
Polls will be open 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. on March 9. Early voting began March 1 and will last through March 5 at the Orange County Supervisor of Elections office 119 West Kaley Street, Orlando, FL 32806 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
If you voted by mail in the general election, you should receive a ballot for the municipal election. Such requests are meant to be good for two elections. But check your status to be sure
