The Oakland Town Commission broke ceremonial ground for its West Hull Avenue Septic-to-Sewer Conversion Project at Pollard Park on July 16. Within the next nine months, 44 homes, two churches and eight vacant lots will be on the town's sewer system, according to Mike Parker (third from right), the town's public works director.
